B5.2Develop a data-based tool to inform approach to building retrofits

A deep understanding of the City’s building stock is essential to tailor retrofit programs and policies to current needs. As a first step, the City will develop an interactive mapping tool that compiles key building data - such as age, type, fuel source, mechanical systems, and energy consumption - using both real and modeled data. This tool will enable staff to identify building types and neighbourhoods with the greatest potential to reduce energy use and emissions, while also improving climate resiliency.
