Official description
Description
Effective climate policy requires coordinated and concerted action in order to be achieved. To accomplish this, the Sustainability Team within Planning & Development developed the Climate Action Tracker website as the primary method to:
- communicate progress on climate action to the public and interested parties;
- coordinate interdepartmental efforts on climate action initiatives; and
- monitor Surrey's community and corporate greenhouse gas emissions.
Following the website's launch in November 2023, the Tracker will continue to be updated on an biannual basis over the years ahead as CCAS is implemented.
