L4.4Pursue low-carbon construction practices

The Engineering Department produces several publications to guide the design and construction of City infrastructure, including the Design Criteria Manual. This action will involve City staff identifying and integrating low-carbon construction practices into these standards. Additionally, low-carbon considerations will be incorporated into purchasing guidelines and contract processes to further align infrastructure projects with the City’s climate objectives.
