L8.1Update economic development strategies using an equitable climate lens

The City is committed to creating a vibrant business community that involves job development, investment, entrepreneurship, and innovation. There are several key documents in place that guide Surrey’s economic development initiatives and shape City priorities, including the Economic Strategy and the Economic Diversification Strategy. This action will see City staff updating these and other related policies to incorporate an equity and climate change lens. By integrating these perspectives into economic development policies, the City intends to incentivize innovation amongst local companies to work towards a zero-carbon future for Surrey.
