Description
The City's Official Community Plan (OCP) guides land use and growth management in Surrey. The OCP is intended to be a statement of objectives and policies that guide municipal decision making. Land use planning is a critical tool for municipalities to use to achieve climate targets. Buildings in Surrey release nearly as much carbon pollution as all the vehicles on our roads, and the way we design our communities has a significant impact on travel choices, climate resilience and healthy ecosystems.
CCAS, along with other City and regional strategies will inform the key priorities and policies in the OCP as it is updated. The OCP is targeted to be completed at the end of 2025.
