B4.3Explore opportunities to improve building energy and emissions compliance processes

As the City’s standards for new construction continue to evolve in addressing energy and emissions, compliance processes also need to be updated on an ongoing basis. In particular, opportunities to improve and streamline current processes for reviewing BC Energy Step Code submissions may be found through a review. New tools from the Province, best practices from other jurisdictions and evaluation of current processes all need to be considered to ensure administration of energy and emissions regulations is effective and efficient.
