The City of Surrey is currently involved in NRCAN funded partnerships with public/private institutions (SFU, Powertech, UBC, BC Hydro) to deploy curbside EV chargers, in support of increased Electric Vehicle adoption. The City has also partnered with BC Hydro to provide 4 DC Fast Charging hubs totaling 40 ports (owned/operated by BC Hydro) at City facilities (Surrey Arts Centre, Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex North Surrey Sport & Ice, Guildford Recreation Centre & Library).
